Terms of Service
Hello! This agreement outlines how we work together so we're both on the same page. This agreement must be approved before we begin any project. You will receive an eDoc to sign after purchase. Let's make something great!
"The Creative Next Door, LLC" (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") will provide creative services to you, the Client. This agreement covers all work done together, whether it's a one-time project or ongoing work.
We currently offer the following creative services:
Logo & Brand Identity
Social Media Graphics
Website Design
Print Materials (flyers, business cards, brochures, etc.)
Marketing Strategy
The specific deliverables for your project will be outlined in your invoice or project proposal. Anything not listed there is considered outside the scope of the current project.
Flat Project Fee
Project packages are quoted at a flat rate. Custom Package quotes are valid for 30 days from the date it's sent.
Retainer & Hourly Fees
For select Clients, we may be placed on a retainer basis with a monthly subscription. A separate contract will be shared with detailed terms and pricing.
Associated Marketing Costs
Projects may incur associated marketing costs, such as printing and product costs, shipping, and specialized contracting. These costs are the responsibility of the Client.
Payment Schedule
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due before any work begins.
The remaining 50% is due upon project completion, before final files are delivered.
For projects under $500, full payment is required upfront.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept payment via Stripe, Zelle, or Venmo. Checks are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Late Payments
If your final payment isn't received within 7 days of the completion notice, we reserve the right to withhold final files until payment clears. Accounts overdue by 30+ days may be sent to collections.
We want you to love the final result, but we understand that revisions are a part of the creative process! In order to respect everyone’s time, here is how revisions work:
Every project includes 2 rounds of revisions at no extra charge.
A "revision" means small changes to an existing concept — like adjusting colors, fonts, wording, or sizing.
A revision is NOT a complete redesign, a new direction, or a new concept. These will be quoted separately.
Revision requests must be submitted in one consolidated email or message per round (not sent piecemeal over time).
Additional rounds of revisions beyond the 2 included are billed at $100 per hour.
Revisions must be requested within 5 business days of receiving a draft. After that window, the project is considered approved and any changes will be billed as a new project or add-on.
We'll agree on a project timeline upfront. To keep things on schedule, we need your feedback, content, and approvals in a timely manner.
If we don't hear back from you for 14 consecutive days, your project will be placed on hold and may be pushed back in the queue.
If a project is on hold for 30+ days due to lack of Client response, it may be considered abandoned. Your deposit will not be refunded, and restarting the project will require a new agreement and deposit.
Rush projects (needed in under 5 business days) are subject to a 25% rush fee.
Great design starts with great communication! To get started, we'll need:
Any existing logos, brand materials, or files in editable format (AI, PSD, EPS, or high-res PNG).
Written content, such as slogans, phrases, business information, etc.
Clear direction on your vision, preferences, and any examples you like.
If content or information isn't provided to us in a timely manner, it can delay the project. We'll always communicate if we're waiting on something!
We understand that things change. Here's our policy:
Cancellations within 48 hours of signing this agreement are eligible for a full refund of any deposit paid.
If we've already started work when you cancel, you'll be billed for all work completed up to that point at a rate of $100 per hour.
No refunds are issued after final files have been delivered.
After Full Payment
Once your final payment clears, you own the finished design. You're free to use it however you like for your business.
Before Full Payment
All designs and files remain the property of The Creative Next Door, LLC until payment is received in full. Please don't publish or use designs publicly before your balance is paid.
Your Content
By sharing logos, images, text, or other materials with us, you confirm that you have the rights to use them. You agree to hold The Creative Next Door, LLC harmless from any claims related to content you provide.
Stock Assets
If your project requires licensed stock photos, fonts, or other third-party assets, those costs will be passed along to you and listed separately in your invoice.
We love showing off and promoting our Clients! Unless you request otherwise, we reserve the right to:
Display completed work in our portfolio (website, social media, presentations, etc.).
Include a subtle design credit (e.g., "Designed by The Creative Next Door") on applicable deliverables like websites.
Just let us know if you'd prefer your project to remain private — we totally respect that.
What's yours stays yours. We won't share your business information, strategies, or materials with anyone outside of what's needed to complete your project. We ask for the same in return — please keep any information about our processes, pricing, or methods confidential.
If you (or someone else you hire) make changes to a website or design we completed and something breaks, we're happy to help fix it — but that repair work is billed at $100/hour. Please reach out to us first before having others modify our work!
We put our heart into every project, but we're not able to guarantee specific business results (sales, website traffic, brand recognition, etc.) from our creative work. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the project in question.
We may update these terms from time to time. You'll always be notified of any significant changes, and the most current version will apply to new projects going forward.
