BIG IDEAS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Hi- I'm Abby! And I'm OBSESSED with helping small businesses use marketing to compete with the big dogs.

Why Your Marketing Should Be Your Superpower

It's time to think of your marketing as your best salesperson, your super fan working 24/7.

A well developed plan can increase sales, build brand awareness, and deliver more customers to your door.

And... you don't need to hire a high end agency, learn Tik Tok dances, or spend thousands on ads!

That's where I thrive: coming up with creative ideas on a small business budget. Just think of me as your friendly next door neighbor... right here whenever you're ready to chat!

My Approach to Marketing

Marketing is so much more than social media, digital ads, and a pretty logo. When you have a limited budget and limited time, you need to ensure everything you invest in your business will bring you returns. That's my specialty: to determine where, why, and how much you should invest in marketing.

As a generalist marketer, I don't specialize in one specific area, which allows me to take a holistic approach to your marketing strategy. We will analyze your public image, website, and customer experience. Then we will determine opportunities for growth and investment.

We will consider financial investment and your time commitment to create a marketing strategy that works like a salesperson for you! If it doesn't bring you new customers or bigger sales, it isn't worth your investment.

You've got questions, that's good!

What is marketing?

Marketing is your company's image. Everything from the logo on your van to the emails you send is considered marketing. It defines your customers' experience and tells potential customers about your company.

Marketing should work in tandem with your sales strategy. Your marketing should reflect your values as a business.

Imagine you pull off the highway to fill up your gas tank. You have two options for gas stations- same price, right next door to each other. One has an illuminated sign, clean parking lot, and promotions in the windows. The other needs a pressure wash, the sign is broken and a there is a handwritten sign on the front door that says "No Restrooms". Without much conscious thought you know which gas station to pick. This is why Marketing is so important.

Do I need to have a website?

Nope! Not every business needs a website, but it is important to have an online presence somewhere. I have plenty of suggestions for creating a professional online appearance (for free) on a website or social media.

Do i need to do social media?

That's the big question right now... do I have to try to go viral? The answer is No! Having a social media is a great, affordable way to reach your customers, but it is not the only way. Your time may be better used elsewhere.

How are you different from a digital marketer?

I take a wider lens to marketing than solely digital. Digital marketing agencies are great for online-only businesses, but it is important to think about the full customer experience as well.

How much should I spend on marketing?

A tricky question with thousands of variables! In the end it depends on your cost per acquisition- or how much you're willing to spend to get one customer. If your industry is competitive, you will have a higher cost per acquisition. We can discuss the right amount!

do i need marketing if I sell B2B?

Yes! Perhaps, even more than B2C companies! Businesses are made up of humans who make decisions on their set of values. Professionalism is key when working with other businesses. Creating a positive customer experience will continue a positive business relationship and encourage referrals.
